Ginkaku-ji Temple ( the Silver Pavilion ), designated as a World Heritage site, has a beautiful strolling-style landscape garden with a pond. Nanzen-ji Temple is ranked above the five important Zen temples in Kyoro with a high-rise waterway supported by arch-shaped brick piers, a popular photo-taking spot among photographers and film producers. Kennin-ji Temple, the oldest Zen temple in Kyoto, houses excellent paintings like Wind God and Thunder God painting on a folding screen. Kiyomizu-dera Temple, another World Heritage site, attracts millions of visitors from home and abroad each year.
